SOBER COACH & MENTOR

Frequently asked questions

What is a sober coach?

A sounding board. You can use my insights and experience to voice your hopes and fears, your “yes buts” and “what if’s” — with no judgement or instruction, only confidential support and encouragement.

Do I need to have stopped drinking already?

I work with people transitioning from a residential programme, from an outpatient detox, and with those who have chosen their own route to sobriety. If you are not sure where you are, the initial appointment is the place to start.

What does the coaching involve?

A relapse prevention model of self-growth and development which addresses cognitive, emotional and behavioural issues focused around creating a new life in recovery. It is individually tailored around your needs, with time managed accountability to support your short and long-term goals.

Where do sessions take place?

From your location or mine.

Is it confidential?

Yes. Our conversations are confidential.

Can a parent or family member get in touch on someone else’s behalf?

Yes. Families do make the first call, and that call is often not an easy one to make. You are welcome to phone or email.

What happens first?

An initial appointment with no obligation. Call (07765) 286 410 or email sobercoachandmentor@gmail.com and we will arrange a time.
